\"soil\"<\/a>The \u201cadventure of my garden\u201d<\/em><\/strong> continues . . .<\/p>\n

Gardening in New England <insert your job search here > is just a bear!\u00a0 I found the process frustrating, full of land mines and seemingly out of my control.<\/p>\n

I really wanted a garden.\u00a0 Why?\u00a0 The basics:\u00a0 a garden provides CO2<\/sub>, creates beauty and adds curb appeal.\u00a0 Personally, gardening brings me brings joy, satisfaction and a sense of accomplishment.<\/p>\n

Just like a job — you want to contribute, earn a living, etc.<\/p>\n

As I began working on the two small beds installed by the builder odd things began occurring.\u00a0 A feeling washed over me, a feeling that the whole world was against me having a garden.\u00a0 Trying to overcome the oddness of this feeling I set my intentions and dug in — literally and figuratively.<\/p>\n

Have you done this same thing with your job search?\u00a0 Your resume and LinkedIn profile are complete, you apply to every job matching your skills, interview and then nothing?\u00a0 Feels totally out of your control, right?<\/p>\n

This garden was bringing up peculiar stuff — feelings I had not experienced in years!\u00a0 And, I don\u2019t mean just the 20 pound rocks and chucks of cement buried just under the thin top soil.\u00a0 But, I really wanted a lovely spring garden and I decided to do whatever it took to achieve one.<\/p>\n

One spring morning I realized I was feeling and doing the exact same things I had so many years ago when I lost my first job.\u00a0 The same feelings were overwhelming me.\u00a0 I felt stuck and hopeless.\u00a0 I really didn’t know what to do next.<\/p>\n
