\"persistence\"<\/a>You’ve made it to the final “B of Interviewing<\/strong>!”\u00a0 You’ve stuck with it till the end . . . and, that is exactly what the final “B<\/strong>” is all about.<\/p>\n

What is the last “B<\/strong>?”<\/p>\n

B<\/b>e persistent.<\/p>\n

Companies take from days to weeks to make decisions.\u00a0 Decision time varies depending on a number of factors.\u00a0 Perhaps there weren\u2019t enough great candidates; perhaps there were too many.\u00a0 The decision maker may be traveling or some crisis in the business may take priority.\u00a0 Don\u2019t give up<\/strong>.\u00a0 You\u2019ve already asked when and how to follow up.\u00a0 Use the information.\u00a0 Now, I\u2019m not saying to call them every day for a week — unless you\u2019re told its okay to do so.\u00a0 I am saying you need to follow up until the trail is cold or until you\u2019re told the position is filled.\u00a0 Even at that point, you should ask if there are other openings for which you would be qualified.<\/p>\n

So, there are the “B\u2019s of Interviewing<\/strong>,” from my keyboard to your eyes.\u00a0 If you follow these points and do the work, you are much more likely to stand out in the candidate pool.\u00a0 Prepare, practice and present.\u00a0 Most of all, it\u2019s important to be yourself.<\/strong>\u00a0 Joining a company where the fit is right is magic!\u00a0 If you do what you love, you\u2019ll never work another day in your life.<\/p>\n
