It is week 8 of the Accelerate Your Job Search Results & Create a Life You Love challenge. \u00a0The challenge is to take action and transform your search\u00a0and<\/em>\u00a0life in nine weeks.<\/p>\n

Action #8: \u00a0Stop Kicking Dead Horses<\/strong><\/p>\n

Following up and being persistent is critical in business and life, but you also need to know when to stop and change paths. \u00a0Life is a cycle — birth, growth, death. \u00a0All things (including jobs and interests) begin, continue and end. \u00a0Whether it is your interest or the interest of another that has ended, release it.<\/p>\n

In a job search, and in life, there are things without answers. \u00a0Phone calls or emails may go unanswered. \u00a0You may never know why you were released from a job or why an offer was not extended. \u00a0I know you want to know. \u00a0Ask yourself this, “What value do I gain by knowing?” \u00a0Will knowing change the outcome? \u00a0There is a point in time where you are best served by abandoning the desire to know.<\/p>\n

It is a fact that things changes, times change, people change and evolve. \u00a0Passions die and that is OK. \u00a0Instead of getting caught up in the past, ask yourself what you want to pursue NOW. \u00a0As one thing dies, another is born. \u00a0Move on and walk a new path.<\/p>\n
