Are you someone spending 20 to 30 hours per week editing a resume, applying for jobs and dreaming about your next promotion?<\/p>\n

Here are 3 tips for becoming employed faster:<\/strong><\/p>\n

1.\u00a0\u00a0Track your time for a week.<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0What are you spending your time doing? \u00a0What are the results of your actions? \u00a0How much time do you spend taking action, learning, doing and becoming a <insert your profession here>? \u00a0Make adjustments and eliminate time-wasting activities.<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0Focus on a specific outcome.<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0What outcome do you hope to achieve? \u00a0Deliberate focus allows you to see opportunities, take risks, and do what needs to be done.<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0\u00a0Take stock in your work, your learning and your awareness of who you are.<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0What did you do this week? \u00a0What did you learn? \u00a0Honor who you are. \u00a0Be grateful for what you learned, the actions you took and what support and resources you received. \u00a0Speak a word or two of gratitude aloud. \u00a0Share what you are doing appropriately.<\/p>\n

Embrace who you are and who you are becoming. \u00a0Learn and take action. \u00a0Share what you are up to so the world knows, after all, success does not happen in secret.<\/p>\n

Or, locate learning opportunities through your favorite professional organization.\u00a0 My favorite is\u00a0SHRM<\/a>. \u00a0Professional associations and\u00a0societies are great places to learn and keep up with what’s new in your particular profession.<\/p>\n
