Doubt will kill your career.\u00a0 Doubt will stop transformation in a second.<\/p>\n

Does doubt and danger lurk in your life? \u00a0If so, it may well be killing your career.<\/p>\n

Do you view doubt as danger? \u00a0When doubt and danger are inseparable, you may overlook opportunity. \u00a0Your brain and body work together to help you survive.<\/p>\n

Opportunities may require you\u00a0to step out of your comfort zone. \u00a0Does the area outside your comfort zone feel like danger?<\/p>\n

For most people, their career is not filled with danger. \u00a0There are exceptions, such as military careers, skydivers, etc. \u00a0Similarly, most career opportunities are not a threat to survival.<\/p>\n

Now that does not mean that I have not had days when an opportunity didn’t feel like danger, sending all my systems into survival mode.<\/p>\n

Or, from time to time that\u00a0real danger does not\u00a0appear in my life. \u00a0Recently it appeared on the highway during a morning commute. \u00a0That morning I was delighted that “divine intervention” and all the amazing systems of my brain and body worked together to keep me safe.<\/p>\n

Doubt is different from danger. Can you separate the two?<\/p>\n

The Earl Nightingale quote above is a reminder that the line between danger and opportunity can be very thin.<\/p>\n

Doubt will kill your career if you can’t see the opportunities. \u00a0Blind spots show up when doubt is ever present or hangs around too long.<\/p>\n

The executives I work with know that awareness, experience, knowledge and preparation build confidence. \u00a0They also have learned to pay attention to doubt, to pause and gather facts and create the best responses in all situations.<\/p>\n
