The job search can be the toughest job you will ever have. \u00a0Sometimes despite \u201cpositive thinking,\u201d great marketing, resolve, determination, focus on your goals and vision, doubts jump into your thoughts. \u00a0Go ahead, admit it.<\/p>\n

Pause and think about how you FEEL about building, connecting and interacting with your network. \u00a0Those feelings dictates how your network grows, how fast you have an impact and your growth to the next level.<\/p>\n

Sometimes when you reach for the phone or start to type an email your\u00a0inner voice of doubt begins to chatter. \u00a0It asks, \u201cWhy would this person be interested in hearing from me, we\u2019ve not talked in years?\u201d or \u201cWhat will this person think of me?” \u00a0You don’t want to be known as “underemployed and begging for help\u201d or \u201cthat person that needs help to make it.”<\/p>\n

When inner doubt shows up it can change how you feel.\u00a0 The way we feel directly impacts the actions we take.\u00a0 Especially in marketing ourselves, our value, and with whom we are willing to share information.<\/p>\n

What you choose to do (or not to do) will determine the opportunities you have and those you will find. \u00a0Actions directly impact the results you achieve, your income and your success. \u00a0The choice of what to do will also impact how you FEEL and ACT this afternoon and tomorrow.<\/p>\n

Discover how you feel.\u00a0 Decide if you like it or not.\u00a0\u00a0 Decide if you want to change it or not.<\/p>\n

How you feel shows up in how you THINK and ACT.\u00a0 If you feel bad, do you what that to continue?<\/p>\n

What would be different if, as Gandhi suggests in the quote above, you grow into the faith that connecting or re-connecting with each person will bring good things to you and to them?<\/p>\n

Intellectually, you and I already know you have significant value to offer. \u00a0Why not grow the value you offer by sharing it with the world or at least your network?<\/p>\n

Have the courage to BELIEVE the results you achieve are indeed coming from your feelings, thoughts and actions. \u00a0Be a magnet for success and prosperity in your search. \u00a0FEEL confident about your value and be willing to ACT. \u00a0You must be aware of your feelings and take action or your will miss the opportunities available within your network.<\/p>\n

Assess your network. \u00a0Take inventory of the people you know. \u00a0As in any business, inventory is an asset and will impact your bottom line.<\/p>\n

The network of people you know is a component of your social and business capital. \u00a0Who are your critical connections? \u00a0Who are the critical connections you need to add to your network?<\/p>\n

Create a plan to connect and stay connected. \u00a0Who knows you? \u00a0Who likes you? \u00a0Who trusts you? \u00a0Who will you connect with this week? \u00a0How will you stay connected?<\/p>\n
