Also it may or may not be good news or bad news.<\/p>\n<p>To improve your situation and your results, being focused on you may be more helpful than being focused on trends, data, comments, news, etc.\u00a0\u00a0 Are you focused on you and your results?\u00a0 Are you ready to accelerate your results?<\/p>\n<p>I hope so.\u00a0 That is what you can most impact.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Just a month ago, I was celebrating a client\u2019s <strong>new job<\/strong>.\u00a0 When we talked the other day, he shared how he is enjoying the new job, the work, the people then he paused and asked me \u201cWhy didn\u2019t I take action and get focused sooner?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Boy, that is a powerful question and one that\u00a0I can\u2019t answer.\u00a0 So a turned the question back to him.\u00a0 His answer was the he was sad about losing his job, the news, and everyone around him was\u00a0telling him things were bad. He shared\u00a0he\u00a0was unsure what to do.\u00a0 The day after we talked about what to do, he had 2 simple action steps and my I challenge to him to take action.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He took the action. Now he is working!\u00a0 I just offered the two specific action steps.\u00a0 Two simple steps changed his entire search and resulted in the job he landed.\u00a0\u00a0 <strong>Look<\/strong> accelerating your search does not have to be slow, lonely or hard, but it can if you want it to be.<\/p>\n<p>If you lack focus or are focused on less productive things. Stop worrying about the unemployment numbers or the wage trends.\u00a0 Focus on the things you can impact. Here are action steps you can take today.<\/p>\n<p>Action Steps:<\/p>\n<p>\u00a01. Look at your network, your contacts and your current leads.\u00a0 Group them into three categories:\u00a0 Ideal, Referral, Influencers<\/p>\n<p>\u00a02. Create an action plan; include who you will contact and when you will connect.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a03. Make the connection.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The client\u00a0above, <strong>made<\/strong> the call.\u00a0 That is how he <strong>landed<\/strong> the job.
