Last week I spoke at two unique events about how to leverage your personal brand, your online presence and online networking.\u00a0 From the questions during both Q & A sessions it was very clear most people have only touched the surface of standing out in a crowd.\u00a0 Most don’t know the quick and easy ways to stand out.<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0 Some people shared nothing, yet many shared they don\u2019t leverage their LinkedIn profile, r\u00e9sum\u00e9 and business card.\u00a0 Some\u00a0were surprized at how little things make a BIG\u00a0<\/strong>difference.\u00a0<\/p>\n

So when I read, the post \u201cPresidents\u2019 Day 2012: Who is the most underrated president<\/a>?\u201d by Jon DeNunzio<\/a> and the comments on the nominees (you can find on Twitter using the hashtag #underratedpresident or below the post) I thought, WOW – we have 44 people who have served as a U.S. President and the conversation is on the MOST underrated in 75 words or less.\u00a0 Interesting!<\/p>\n

Can you state why you are underrated in less than 75 words?\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Do you have 75 words or less that help you STAND OUT<\/strong> if you are on a list of 44 people?\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Do you know how others view and rate your work over a four or eight year span of time? \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Many seeking a new job are underrated, and sadly they underrate themselves<\/strong>.\u00a0 The impact of that is a lower value in the market place and not being noticed.<\/p>\n

Are you lowering your value in the market place with your current LinkedIn profile, r\u00e9sum\u00e9 and business card?\u00a0 Most professionals even if, on the most-praised list of others don\u2019t leverage that praise or marketing power.\u00a0 Many people don’t know\u00a0how to uncover what others think of them or\u00a0the value information can provide.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Which list are you on \u201cunderrated\u201d or \u201cmuch-praised\u201d or not on the list for the job past or present?\u00a0\u00a0 Have you reviewed your brand, LinkedIn profile, r\u00e9sum\u00e9 or business card<\/a>?<\/p>\n
